Buyer is soliciting proposals for engineering design services for the Central Trunk Sewer Project. The project involves designing a sewer system that serves the population north of State Highway 120 to the City's northerly limits. The system includes pipe sizes ranging from 12" to 54" made of PVC, lined reinforced concrete pipe and unlined RCP. Buyer requires evaluation of the best connection point upstream of the Union lift station to allow for its abandonment.

• Project manager and design engineers licensed as Professional Engineers in California
• Experience in wastewater treatment, deep sewer systems, operations, and maintenance

• Develop three conceptual Central Trunk Sewer alignment alternatives
• Prepare and select final sewer alignment options for Union lift station abandonment
• Conduct field investigation and document consistency with records review
• Perform geotechnical investigation with qualified engineering firm
• Conduct potholing at critical pipe connection locations
• Prepare transportation management plan for construction traffic
• Create design for deep sewer installation (12" to 54" pipes)
• Design temporary by-pass conveyance facilities if necessary
• Develop construction sequencing plan for minimal service disruption
• Perform environmental review and CEQA documentation
• Coordinate with utility providers through A, B, & C letters
• Prepare 30%, 60%, 90% and final construction documents
• Submit construction bid package and support during bidding
• Respond to RFIs during construction phase
• Prepare record drawings upon completion of construction
• Conduct value engineering for cost-effective sewer solutions
• Develop solutions to abandon the existing Union lift station
• Set up document management system for project collaboration
• Provide technical support through construction completion
• Determine optimal connection point upstream of Union lift station
