Buyer seeks a qualified contractor to provide habitat restoration and maintenance services for mitigation sites within Prado Basin and Orange County facilities. The services include planting new mitigation sites, maintaining existing sites, installing irrigation systems, and ensuring good health of native plant communities. The work will be conducted in compliance with environmental regulations from agencies like CDFW, USFWS, and USACE. Buyer manages 942 acres of native habitat in Prado Basin and 42 acres in Orange County facilities.

• Five years habitat restoration experience with native plantings and mitigation sites
• Qualified staff with expertise in native plant species and ecological restoration
• Understanding of environmental regulations related to habitat restoration and mitigation
• Access to appropriate tools and equipment for clearing, planting, irrigation

• Plant new mitigation sites at an average rate of 2 acres/year
• Maintain existing mitigation sites through weed abatement and non-native plant removal
• Install, repair, and maintain drip-line irrigation systems
• Provide native plant installation with plant protectors
• Establish erosion control measures at mitigation sites
• Maintain existing access trails and perform trash removal
• Monitor and report on site conditions weekly
• Coordinate with OCWD biologists to protect sensitive habitat
• Develop annual maintenance schedules to maximize plant growth
• Replace dead plants as necessary to maintain good site health
