- Demonstrate at least 10 years of experience designing roofing
- Must be licensed and authorized in Connecticut to practice Architecture/Engineering
- Experience with State of CT School Grant Projects
- Conduct thorough investigation of existing roof conditions
- Create CAD documents of existing conditions
- Develop multiple roofing design options for City approval
- Prepare detailed construction documents and specifications
- Coordinate with all State and local government approval processes
- Develop accurate construction cost estimates at each design phase
- Implement design modifications to keep project within budget
- Document and evaluate the failed PVC membrane roofing system
- Address recurring leaks around penthouses and Media Center corridor
- Create snow-slide protection system for barrel-vault roofs
- Design new lightning protection system for reinstallation after roofing
- Coordinate State OSCG&R requirements for reimbursement eligibility
- Develop phasing possibilities based on funding constraints
- Manage bidding process and respond to bidder questions
- Provide construction administration services during roof replacement
- Verify compliance with Connecticut building and energy codes
- Evaluate the existing secondary overflow roof drain systems
- Design new fascia, drip edge, and wall counter flashing systems
- Address unfinished caulk joints at penthouses to prevent leaks
- Conduct water testing to identify leak sources around penthouses
