Buyer seeks a consultant to manage a First-Time Homebuyer Navigator position. The Navigator will help low to moderate-income residents overcome barriers to homeownership by providing assistance with securing funding, navigating the homebuying process, and offering rehabilitation advice. This three-year pilot program aims to help residents purchase and renovate vacant homes in need of repair. The Navigator will partner with county housing initiatives to make the homebuying process more efficient for first-time buyers.

• Experience with providing homebuying assistance and rehabilitation services to low-income communities

• Decrease barriers faced by low to moderate-income first-time homebuyers
• Provide assistance with securing funding for home purchases
• Navigate step-by-step process of purchasing a home
• Provide advice on rehabilitation process
• Help secure SONYMA, FHA loans or 203k rehab loans
• Assist with renovating vacant homes in need of repair
• Partner with Albany County housing initiatives
• Help clients through permitting process
• Provide down payment assistance guidance
• Assist families in finding homes through existing resources
