The buyer seeks health and safety consulting services to provide subject matter expertise and oversight of its Health and Safety Unit. The consultant will review and revise safety programs, assist with inspections and investigations, provide training, and ensure compliance with regulations. Services will be performed at correctional facilities and require working with incarcerated individuals.

- Three years experience providing consultative services in training, policy review, and audits
- Knowledge of applicable rules, regulations, procedures, and laws
- Staff assigned must have required experience, education, knowledge, and skills
- Review and revise Injury and Illness Prevention Program components
- Provide guidance on missing or incomplete IIPP components
- Assist with biannual inspections and provide feedback
- Assist with accident, exposure, illness, or injury investigations
- Provide training on record keeping requirements
- Review training materials created by HSU
- Provide guidance on hazardous waste management and emergency procedures
- Conduct site assessment walkthrough and draft findings report
- Demonstrate knowledge of Title 8 and ANSI standards
- Visit correctional facilities and work with incarcerated population
