The buyer is seeking a contractor to provide door-to-door transportation services for special education students, students experiencing homelessness, and students in foster care. The services will transport students from designated locations to educational facilities within Castro Valley and surrounding areas. The buyer currently has approximately 130 students requiring transportation, with an estimated 60-90 students needing services from an outside vendor. The contract will begin on August 1, 2025, and may be extended for up to four additional one-year periods.

- Provide door-to-door transportation for special education students
- Transport students to educational facilities within and outside district boundaries
- Ensure vehicles meet safety requirements and inspections
- Maintain proper driver qualifications and background checks
- Provide live customer service and dispatch center 24/7
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain vehicle condition reports
- Supervise student conduct and ensure safe transportation environment
- Provide immediate notification of any accidents
- Accept cancellations from district route scheduler or student's parent/guardian
- Comply with all local, state, and federal COVID-19 safety guidelines
