Karuk Tribe

The buyer is seeking a qualified Family Child Care Home provider to partner with and operate an infant/toddler center in Happy Camp. The buyer will provide a furnished facility, subsidize rent and utilities, and assist with tribal licensing. The successful partner will be responsible for all day-to-day operations, including staffing, billing, and curriculum implementation. The center will serve up to 12 children and maintain tribal preference while being open to all community members.

• ECE educational background or degree in early childhood development
• Demonstrated experience operating a business
• Experience in providing child care services

• Operate an infant/toddler facility accommodating up to 12 children
• Develop and implement a business plan for child care services
• Maintain tribal licensing and follow Tribal Child Care Standards
• Provide staffing and manage day-to-day operations
• Implement curriculum with preference for Karuk language and culture
• Conduct child development assessments
• Manage billing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable
• Prepare and purchase food for daily meals and snacks
• Maintain equipment and procure office supplies
• Accommodate school closures in operational planning
