City of Seaside Recreation Department

The buyer is seeking proposals from local artists to create artwork for up to five city utility boxes. The project aims to enhance the cultural and aesthetic qualities of Seaside. Selected artwork will be printed as vinyl wraps for the utility boxes. The buyer encourages artists 15 years and older to apply with original designs that honor the city's culture, values, and residents.

• Must be 15 years or older
• Must be a local Seaside artist

• Create original artwork honoring Seaside's culture, values, and residents
• Design artwork as digital, print-ready vector image
• Scale artwork to fit utility box dimensions
• Submit two views: splayed view and 'in-place' view
• Avoid political themes and copyrighted material
• Enter into an agreement with the City if selected
• Create artwork suitable for all ages
• Design artwork that enhances cultural and aesthetic qualities of Seaside
• Convey the history of the community through artwork
