The buyer is seeking proposals from qualified CPA firms to perform audits of its financial statements and employee benefit plans. The engagement is for three years with an option to extend for two additional years. The audits must be performed in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards and state requirements. The selected firm will also assist with financial reporting and provide ongoing consultation.

• Licensed to practice as a certified public accountant in California
• Experience auditing government agencies
• Knowledge of GAAP and government auditing standards

• Perform audits and issue opinions on OCWD's financial statements
• Audit employee retirement savings Money Purchase Plan
• Audit employee Deferred Compensation Plan
• Prepare annual financial statements and Annual Comprehensive Financial Report
• Assist with implementation of applicable GASB pronouncements
• Provide ongoing auditing consultation
• Conduct single audit if required
• Prepare and submit required audit reports to state and federal agencies
• Perform parity calculations when required
• Evaluate adequacy of internal control system
