- Licensed professionals with Certified Employee Assistance Professional and Substance Abuse Professional designations
- PRN specialists, social workers, and psychologists with experience counseling employees of all trades
- Experience with law enforcement officers and firefighters
- Ability to provide local and Telehealth services
- Provide confidential assessment and counseling for employees and family members
- Offer referrals to appropriate services for further care and long-term counseling
- Provide quarterly statistical activity reports on utilization and issues
- Conduct on-site grief counseling and team building exercises when requested
- Perform Fit for Duty examinations when requested by Human Resources
- Administer PRN services for sworn and medical employees
- Develop promotional materials for the EAP program
- Provide 24/7 crisis response through live telephone counseling
- Offer substance abuse and addiction treatment expertise
- Coordinate benefits with the City's health plans
