Albany Housing Authority

Buyer seeks a qualified and insured entity to provide Process Serving services. The contractor will prepare and serve various legal documents related to the eviction process on behalf of the buyer. Services include serving notices, demands, and petitions, as well as filing documents with the court. The contract period is for 3 years with 2 consecutive 1-year options to renew.

• 12/18/2024 - Proposal Due Date
• 1/14/2025 - Anticipated Approval by AHA Board of Commissioners

• Demonstrate working knowledge of New York State Civil Practice Law and Rules
• Capacity to timely complete service of up to 350 documents each month
• Must be qualified and insured

• Prepare and serve 5-day notices via certified mail (700-1000 per month)
• Serve 30-day demands and termination notices (70-100 per month)
• Serve Notices of Petition and Petitions for summary proceedings
• File original Notices of Petition and Petitions with Albany City Court
• Prepare affidavits of service and file with court
• Provide copies of affidavits of service to Albany Housing Authority
