Information Technology Professional Consultant

The buyer is seeking an Information Technology Professional Consultant to provide comprehensive IT services for the city and Police Department. The consultant will be responsible for system maintenance, network security, troubleshooting, and support for various software applications. The contract period is for one year, with on-site visits and 24-7 emergency support required. The successful proposer must have specific certifications and experience with municipal IT systems.

• Knowledge of running CAT5e, CAT6, and fiber cables
• Current MCSE certifications or higher and CCNA or CCDA certifications
• Working knowledge and expertise with Cisco equipment (CCNA/CCDA)
• Experience with State and Federal criminal databases interfaces
• Demonstrate successful experience supporting various software applications

• Provide pro-active system maintenance for all network devices
• Conduct on-site visits minimum of four hours per week
• Offer 24-7 emergency response within two hours for operational issues
• Deliver monthly status reports to Business Administrator
• Support and maintain data backup, recovery, and email archiving
• Monitor network security and perform system housekeeping
• Troubleshoot hardware and software problems remotely or on-site
• Maintain hardware/software inventory and license documentation
• Provide regular updates for Microsoft systems and software applications
• Act as point of contact for Police Department proprietary applications
