Buyer seeks a Racial Equity Consultant to assist in departmental efforts responding to statewide requests for transformation. The consultant will design and deliver training, counsel leadership, review policies, and advise on fair and impartial corrections practices. The focus is on establishing workforce diversity, incorporating inclusive systems, supporting leadership accountability, and centering diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace culture.

• Review current policies, procedures, and protocols for DEI compliance
• Develop strategies for equity in recruitment and hiring processes
• Design and deliver workshops on workforce equity
• Provide consultation on department transformation and bias
• Create resources for BIPOC and LGBTQI workforce support
• Develop and deliver statewide training on bias and racial equity
• Review and provide feedback on investigated incidents and misconduct cases
• Analyze State systems for effectiveness in advancing DEI
• Form working partnerships with State leadership focused on racial equity
• Provide monthly reports and recommendations to State Commissioner
