CHP Academy Weapon Range Maintenance and Lead Removal Services

The buyer is seeking a contractor to provide weapon range maintenance and lead removal services at the CHP Academy. The work includes cleaning indoor, outdoor, and multi-use ranges, removing and disposing of hazardous materials, and replacing range media. The contractor must also conduct bi-monthly visits to fill hoppers and properly recycle lead and bullet fragments. The agreement term is expected to run from January 1, 2025 through December 31, 2027.

• Possess Contractor State License Board General A and/or B license
• Hold California Department of Public Health Worker and Supervisor Lead Certification
• Have Hazardous Substance Removal Certification
• Maintain Hazardous Waste Transporter Registration
• Hold valid Motor Carrier Permit

• Perform indoor range cleaning and hazardous material removal every 6 months
• Conduct outdoor range cleaning and hazardous material removal annually
• Clean multi-use range and remove hazardous materials every 6 months
• Supply and install 180 pallets of 'Supertrap' or equivalent media
• Remove, recycle and replace existing media for indoor, outdoor and multi-use ranges
• Recycle all lead and bullet fragments from ranges
• Conduct bi-monthly visits to fill hoppers for all 3 ranges
