Kern High School District

The buyer is seeking a vendor to provide football helmet reconditioning and recertification services for multiple high schools in the district. The scope includes picking up helmets, cleaning and inspecting all components, replacing unsuitable parts, recertifying to NOCSAE standards, and returning helmets to schools. The vendor must have specialized equipment and be an authorized dealer for major helmet manufacturers. A detailed inventory tracking system is required.

• Must be authorized dealer for Riddell and Schutt Sports
• Must have NOCSAE football helmet test machine
• Must regularly purchase compatible helmet paint approved by manufacturers
• Must use only original manufacturer parts for replacements
• Must have inventory control system to track individual helmets

• Recondition and recertify football helmets for multiple high schools
• Pick up and deliver helmets from/to school sites
• Clean, sanitize, and inspect all helmet components
• Replace unsuitable parts and faceguards
• Apply new labels and recertify helmets to NOCSAE standards
• Provide inventory tracking and documentation for each helmet
