The buyer seeks a qualified firm to provide Federal Government Relations and Lobbying Services. The consultant will represent the buyer in Washington D.C., providing advocacy and support for the buyer's initiatives. Services include tracking relevant legislation, arranging meetings with Congress members, providing reports, and assisting with grant applications. The consultant will work to promote the buyer's projects and priorities at the federal level.

• In business for at least five years
• Possess minimum of five years relevant experience
• Provide minimum of three comparable project references completed within last five years

• Track legislation affecting the water industry
• Arrange meetings between CVWD and members of Congress
• Provide written and oral reports on federal laws and regulations
• Assist in preparing congressionally directed spending requests
• Counsel CVWD on workings of the Administration and Congress
• Provide introductions and networking opportunities in Washington, DC
• Research and provide information on federal laws and regulations affecting CVWD
• Assist in preparing position letters and grant applications
• Prepare testimony for Congressional committee hearings
• Work with key interest groups and stakeholders on matters affecting CVWD
