Processing, Marketing and Sale of Recyclable Materials & Metals
City of Edinburg
The buyer is seeking a contractor to process, market, and sell recyclable materials and metals collected from its recycling programs. The contractor will be responsible for receiving, sorting, processing, storing, marketing, selling, and transporting recyclable materials. The buyer requires monthly reporting on tonnages and revenues, as well as semi-annual audits to determine contamination rates. The contract will be for an initial one-year term with the possibility of extensions.

- Receive, sort, process, store recyclable materials and metals
- Market and sell recyclable materials and metals
- Transport recyclable materials if necessary
- Comply with all applicable environmental laws and regulations
- Provide monthly reports on tonnages and revenues
- Conduct semi-annual audits to determine contamination rates
- Provide feedback to City on contamination issues
- Maintain certified weight scales at receiving site
- Generate certified weight tickets for each delivery
- Remit payments to City for recyclable commodities sold
