• Two years experience in design and delivery of expanded learning in civic engagement for female students
• Instructors must have college degree or three years in political and civic engagement sector
• Instructors must have five years experience delivering civic engagement instruction to female students grades 6-12

• Design and implement civic education program for middle and high school students
• Provide programs relevant to students' life experiences and culture
• Develop materials and resources for civic education
• Reserve space to accommodate civic education expanded learning activities
• Incorporate LAUSD-funded meals into the civic education program
• Produce video highlighting instruction and activities from the program
• Provide instruction on advocacy, electoral process, political financing, bill introduction and debate
• Facilitate engagement with legislators and lobbying activities
• Organize culmination event to showcase student learning
• Align program with California State Seal of Civic Engagement criteria
