Borough of Somerdale

The buyer seeks an Economic Development Consultant to provide services from September 1, 2024, to December 31, 2024. The consultant will work up to 20 hours per week, maintaining relationships with the business community and assisting with economic development initiatives. The buyer requires the consultant to represent the Borough, facilitate meetings, and identify revenue-generating opportunities. The selected firm will work closely with Borough officials to promote economic growth and sustainability.

• Maintain positive relationships with the business community
• Create and sustain a safe, clean, fiscally sound business environment
• Assist with economic development program management and administration
• Identify and research revenue generating opportunities
• Represent and serve as liaison for the Borough with external entities
• Facilitate Economic Development related meetings and events
• Provide economic development services up to 20 hours per week
• Attend Borough Council meetings as requested
• Interface with Borough Council, Mayor, and other officials
• Submit monthly invoices with detailed task summaries
