Del Mar College

Buyer seeks an independent certified public accounting firm to perform annual financial audit services for the Board of Regents. The scope includes auditing the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report and performing compliance audits for major federal and state programs. The auditor will also audit the Del Mar College Foundation's financial statements. The contract term is initially two years with options to renew for three additional one-year periods.

• Licensed to practice public accounting in the State of Texas
• Experience with financial and compliance audits of higher education institutions
• Familiarity with Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board financial reporting requirements
• Experience with fund accounting and governmental audits
• Knowledge of federal student financial aid programs

• Perform annual financial statement audit on College's Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR)
• Issue opinion on fair presentation of financial statements
• Perform compliance audit for major federal and state programs
• Issue separate management letter including control deficiencies and weaknesses
• Assist with submission of audited financial statements to State of Texas
• Perform audit of Del Mar College Foundation's financial statements
• Present verbal reports at Board of Regents meeting
• Assist College in obtaining GFOA Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting
• Retain audit working papers for at least five years
• Provide reasonable workspace and access to College facilities during audit
