The buyer is seeking qualified vendors to design and implement a Transit Signal Priority (TSP) and Emergency Vehicle Preemption (EVP) system. The system will support integration of traffic signal information with fleet vehicle data. The initial deployment includes TSP equipment for buses and intersections along the US 1 Corridor, with future expansion planned. EVP will be implemented across the county at over 900 traffic signals. The project aims to improve transit schedule adherence and emergency vehicle response times.

  • Provide training to County staff for management of installed equipment
  • Develop engineering plans for System equipment in the field and Traffic Management Centers
  • Furnish and install System on the US-1 Corridor
  • Conduct System acceptance testing
  • Provide System warranty and licenses
  • Demonstrate proposed System with existing vehicles and traffic systems
