The liaison will educate and provide technical assistance to judges on impaired driving issues. They will promote evidence-based practices in prosecution, sentencing, and supervision of impaired driving cases. The liaison will serve as an active link between the State Highway Safety Office and judicial organizations.

• Retired member of Colorado State judiciary
• Extensive experience handling impaired driving cases

• Develop statewide project to educate judicial officers on impaired driving cases
• Maintain relationships with State Highway Safety Office and work as liaison
• Participate in Colorado Task Force on Drunk and Impaired Driving
• Attend and present at traffic safety conferences and summits
• Conduct regional trainings for county court judges
• Create and distribute newsletter on impaired driving research and practices
• Provide technical assistance for judicial officers
• Design and implement educational materials for judges and treatment court professionals
• Attend DUI subcommittee meetings
• Evaluate project outcomes and deliverables
