The buyer seeks to engage a Risk Management Consultant/Insurance Broker for the year 2025. The consultant will provide comprehensive risk management services, including reviewing and assessing risks, developing insurance requirements, assisting with Joint Insurance Fund compliance, and attending safety meetings. The buyer requires a highly experienced consultant with specific expertise in local government risk management.

• 12/3/2023 - Proposal Due Date

• Minimum of ten years' experience in risk management and insurance consulting
• Owner of or employed by a New Jersey licensed general insurance brokerage
• Seven years' specific experience dealing with local government entities' risk and insurance issues
• Preference for experience working with Municipal Joint Insurance Funds

• Review township's employee, safety, and security manuals
• Assess risks and exposures, recommend amendments to manuals
• Review property and operations, develop insurance requirements
• Review loss history, develop plan to resolve open claims
• Assist with Joint Insurance Fund (JIF) compliance
• Attend Safety Committee meetings, provide education on safety topics
• Monitor insurance carriers and third-party administrators
• Assist in assessing overall insurance, risk, and liability options
• Report annually on risk management efforts and insurance coverage issues
• Accompany insurance provider's loss control representatives on visits
