Housing Authority of the City of Long Branch

Buyer is seeking a qualified accountant or accounting firm to provide fee accounting services for its Public Housing and Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Programs. The services include establishing and maintaining accounting records, preparing financial reports, and attending meetings as needed. Buyer requires all accounting services to comply with HUD regulations and New Jersey State Law. The contract will be for a one-year period.

• 6/11/2025 - Proposal Due Date
• 7/1/2025 - Contract start date
• 6/30/2026 - Contract end date

• Must be a Certified Public Accountant licensed in New Jersey
• Must have experience representing New Jersey Public Housing Authorities
• Must have knowledge of relevant State and federal regulations
• Must never have been sanctioned or suspended from practice
• Must never have been suspended, debarred, or declared ineligible
• Must be approvable by US Department of Housing and Urban Development

• Establish and maintain accounting books and records
• Post monthly entries to general ledger
• Prepare and file budgets and reports for HUD and DCA
• Prepare and submit financial reports electronically
• Attend meetings with Board, staff, HUD, and auditors
• Reconcile tenant accounts balances
• Prepare audit work papers for independent audit
• Prepare monthly financial reports for Board meetings
• Prepare quarterly and year-end payroll tax returns
• Maintain books in accordance with GAAP and HUD classifications
