Bergen Municipal Employee Benefits Fund

The buyer is seeking an Executive Director for the Bergen Municipal Employee Benefits Fund. The chosen consultant will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations, preparing budgets, maintaining records, coordinating meetings, and ensuring compliance with state regulations. The buyer requires an experienced insurance professional to oversee all aspects of the Fund's administration and operations.

  • At least one insurance professional with 10+ years of insurance experience
  • Experience in municipal risk management
  • No less than 3 related referrals in a related capacity
  • Serve as Executive Director/Administrator of the Fund
  • Prepare and implement operations manual and policy/procedures manual
  • Prepare budget and compile/bill monthly assessments
  • Maintain underwriting files and prepare new member submissions
  • Maintain general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
  • Coordinate meetings, minutes, elections, and contracts
  • Prepare filings required by state regulators
  • Attend all Executive Committee meetings
  • Handle claims and obligations incurred during contract period
  • Administer and maintain Fund website
