Direct Air Capture Research, Demonstration, and Community Engagement

The buyer seeks projects to advance the technical, economic, and environmental viability of innovative direct air capture technologies to meet California's carbon neutrality goals. The buyer will fund research, development, and demonstration of DAC technologies from bench scale through field demonstrations. Projects must focus on cost reduction, energy reduction, improved capture efficiency, and community engagement. The buyer aims to support technologies that can achieve net removal of at least 1,000 MT CO2/year by the end of the agreement.
