The buyer is seeking applications for grants to expand apprenticeship programs in transmission and distribution lineworker trades. The goal is to assist existing Registered Apprenticeship Programs, absorb costs associated with career training, and help more people obtain employment in the sector. The grant program aims to increase the capacity of the transmission and distribution lineworker trades to meet Colorado's goals of upgrading electricity distribution systems. Funding can be used for training materials, equipment, and additional instructional staff.

• Have a documented association with an existing Registered Apprenticeship Program in lineworker trades
• Currently registered and in good standing with State Apprenticeship Agency or USDOL
• Operating in Colorado with at least one apprentice enrolled as of 10/1/2024
• Have an existing Appendix D Employer Agreement or signed Collective Bargaining Agreement

• Expand apprenticeship programs for transmission or distribution lineworker trades
• Pay for training materials, software, tools, supplies, or hands-on training equipment
• Pay for additional staffing to expand instruction capacity
• Provide a 25% match of actual or in-kind funds
• Submit quarterly reports on program outcomes and progress
• Register all apprentices hired under the grant in the RAPIDS database
• List the Registered Apprenticeship Program on Colorado's Apprenticeship Resource Directory
• Participate in State monitoring and evaluation processes
• Attend grantee orientation and collaboration calls
• Maintain documentation for monitoring, reporting, evaluation, and invoicing
