  • Ten years of experience in planning, executing and delivering successful Strategic Public Relations campaigns
  • Extensive experience working with academic medical centers or large tertiary care hospitals
  • Strong presence in the Greater Houston market without conflicts
  • Established relationships with journalists and news executives at local, regional, national and international levels
  • Develop a comprehensive PR strategy aligned with UTMB's goals
  • Design and implement targeted PR campaigns to promote UTMB's initiatives
  • Provide media coaching for UTMB executives
  • Write and distribute press releases to relevant media outlets
  • Pitch stories to journalists, bloggers, and influencers
  • Prepare media kits including press releases, background, FAQs, and images
  • Identify and collaborate with appropriate social media influencers
  • Manage stakeholder engagement and foster positive relationships
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators for PR activities
  • Deliver regular reports on PR activities, media coverage, and impact
