The Small Business Program Manager will be responsible for small business development, grant administration, and storefront activation. The role involves managing business data, welcoming new businesses, and supporting the organization's mission and goals.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• One to three years of professional experience
• Strong project management and interpersonal communication skills
• Understanding of small business operations and development
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Administer DRA Storefront Upfit Grant program
• Manage Pop-Up Shops at Martin Street retail incubator program
• Track downtown storefront business activity
• Welcome and onboard new businesses to Downtown Raleigh
• Develop relationships with storefront business operators and commercial real estate professionals
• Conduct targeted storefront recruitment
• Facilitate lease conversations with landlords and real estate brokers
• Support production of data for annual State of Downtown report
• Maintain organizational CRM database
• Lead small business workshops
